About Gary Alexander

Gary Alexander is the Managing Director for Northern Protective Services Pty Ltd (NPS), a West Australia business specialising in providing high-level security and electronic security to businesses across the Kimberley region and beyond. Gary is responsible for client liaison and all aspects of NPS’ rapidly growing operations, including staffing, training, HR and administration. His many years as a planning manager for a private bus company in Sydney has stood Gary in good stead – business planning, events management and developing client relationships with government departments and a wide range of stakeholders are all skills which have proved invaluable in Gary’s role at NPS. And with his prior 11 years’ experience as an Anglican minister, Gary has a real flair for people management. He is an excellent communicator, able to connect authentically and comfortably with individuals from all walks of life, making him easy to deal with and an effective relationship builder. Gary’s strong event planning capabilities mean that he is the expert when NPS clients require extensive crowd control. Everyone rests assured that their event is in the safest of hands, being more than adequately catered for in terms of security and risk management. Gary accurately assesses each client’s individual needs, tailoring the provision of NPS' personnel to cover every eventuality. Being in involved in an ethical business is important to Gary; it’s just one reason why he ensures the more than 35 NPS employees are happy in their roles and that the work environment NPS provides is a positive and enjoyable one. Gary is also passionate about changing the perceptions of the security sectors in the region, particularly locally. He’s committed to making a difference through NPS, not only by continually raising awareness of their exceptional service levels to an ever- increasing and diverse customer base, but by promoting roles as security officers and cleaning technicians as viable long-term career choices. A big believer in giving back to his community, Gary is also a fully qualified St John Ambulance Officer – a role he has enjoyed for almost eight years.
