I have an MBA and degree in Healthcare Management emphasizing in business system design and total quality management, specializing in root cause analysis investigations. My expertise encompasses all areas of human, industry, and safety reliability including the training/mentoring and facilitation of Root Cause and Opportunity Analysis efforts worldwide for client companies. I spent over 20 years as a Clinical Nurse Manager, Certified Professional Correctional Healthcare Administrator, and Healthcare Reliability Consultant. I have held licenses in 26 states and provided healthcare education to over 600 clients. Although the bulk of my experience has been in the Healthcare industry I have rendered my services throughout all forms of industry in the form of reliability and engineering consulting services including the facilitation of analysis efforts worldwide. I have conducted front-end job / task analysis, systematic design and development of a vast array of training and healthcare industry projects. I have developed and implemented healthcare education programs that resulted in reductions of medical cost and improved efficiency. I am a Certified Healthcare Reliability Instructor demonstrating expertise by defining job-performance standards / measures as well as auditing of skill assessments to determine the effect of training on job performance. As primary consultant, developed a set of healthcare templates using the Never Events defined by the National Quality Forum, accepted by The Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services, and The Joint Commission categories. This reduced the time required for error analysis by up to 70% Using root cause analysis, identified the factors that created a sick building. Recommended changes that saved the client more than $60 million in replacement construction costs. Identified the root causes of a serious employee injury at a global energy company. Corrections prevented reoccurrence of this $1.5 million event.
