ScreenCoach is a hardware and software product where kids can earn screen time (or pocket money) from chores, tasks and exercise they undertake. Once their allocated screen time elapses, their devices are restricted. To get more time they need to make different choices. We help take the nagging out of parenting and teach kids to self manage their screen time. As the currency we trade in (screen time and pocket money) is so important, ScreenCoach is primarily driven by the child. This saves parents having to constantly police matters and children enjoy having agency in the devices they love so much. We are addressing parents' stresses around managing screens and their children. Tired of being in constant negotiation, battling to get help around the home, wanting kids to be more active and are worried about the potential addiction to electronic devices. Screen time overuse is associated with a myriad of health issues in our young people such as obesity, lack of adequate sleep, anxiety, and an inability to concentrate or focus away from screens. It takes its toll on parents and carers globally. We have built ScreenCoach to scale, planning to take it around the world.
