About Gary Care

I am a finance, risk and vendor management professional with a passion for finding connections with team members and building to consensus. I have a reputation and an ongoing focus on calming and working hard to inspire the people that I work with. I am energized by mentoring my team to learn and grow and ensuring that they are recognized for their hard work and contributions. My focus is on guiding teams to reduce costs, drive efficiencies, and complete projects under cost and on schedule. In addition, my previous roles and my volunteer activities have provided me with the experience to proactively identify risks and threats in advance of them impacting the business. I have a breadth of skills which I have honed over my career including: • Team leadership and mentorship • Financial and data analysis • Risk analysis and mitigation • Vendor management and third-party relations • Corporate and regulatory compliance • Interdisciplinary and inter-cultural collaboration Outside of work, I love to take advantage of our proximity to the beautiful Rocky Mountains and venture out as much as possible with my family to do day hikes or to ski the slopes, not forgetting to stop and marvel in the beauty of our surroundings. Having grown up on the prairies I am always excited to spend time in the mountains and always try to take advantage of the many opportunities at our doorstep. I am also passionate about traveling the world and immersing myself in new cultures. I love the opportunity to learn more about the history and geography of a region, to sample new cuisines, and to build new relationships, some of them life-long, with people from varied cultures and backgrounds.
