About Gary Chen

Over the past 10 years, I’ve been dedicated myself in the real estate fields from property valuation, financial structuring, real estate investment, property development to property management of large scale mixed-use projects. Since joining Jones Lang LaSalle Taiwan in 2010, I was the main point of contact for international investors, real estate developers, and overseas fund managers participating in major commercial property sales of public tender and private negotiations. The overall transaction volume has mounted to US$300 million during this short period of time. Prior to that, I was the deputy manager of Durban Construction, affiliate of the conglomerate Miramar Group. I was responsible for coordinating major disposition or investment projects of the company. My tasks in the position included asset acceleration, investment modelling, resource planning, and cross departmental/stakeholder communications. In terms of functionality, I worked dimensionally from market analysis, property evaluation, investment property acquisition, project funding, project management to investment structure. With my professional education and industry experiences, I have developed into a well-rounded real estate expert with practical experiences, management skills and well industry relationship. As to my long-term career goal, I desire to cultivate more in the management and business operation aspects so I could share my industrial knowledge with the junior members while utilizing my industrial know-how to help the company achieve its greatest profitability and sustainability.
