About Gary Coles

Gary began his career in construction quality control in 1989 and moved in to management systems in 1997. This career has covered a number of different and diverse organisations from material suppliers to multi-national corporations; from Laboratory Technician to Corporate Quality Manager. Gary is a Quality Assurance Manager with a proven track record in managing business systems, directing process improvement and running audit programmes. He has considerable experience as a Lead Auditor, delivering both internal and supplier audits. He has a strong grasp of stakeholder management and the importance of developing sound customer relationships. Gary has a detailed understanding of the ISO group of documents covering quality management and auditing of management systems. In addition, he has a good working knowledge of OHSAS 18001 for safety management and ISO 14001 for environmental management systems. In order to facilitate change management he has experience of tools such as Six Sigma, process mapping, failure mode analysis, fishbone diagrams etc.
