It’s clear that a well-chosen board can drive growth and resilience. In today’s fast-evolving operating environment, the organizations poised for success are those with the right blend of expertise on the board. I’m a C-level executive, former investment banker, and an experienced board director whose credibility is rooted in my own success as the co-founder of a “unicorn” business. What I love about being part of a board is the opportunity to enable other businesses to thrive. My partner and I built Mammoth Holdings, what is now America’s premier express car wash platform business, with 1,500+ people across 150+ sites. As CEO, I learned everything there is to know about starting, running, and growing a business, from strategy development and corporate governance through to financial best practices and risk management. After nearly 25 years, I retired as CEO in 2022, but I remain involved in the business as a Board Member and Chairman. Currently, I’m also the Board Chair at Nurture Capital Partners and an Advisory Board Member at Georgia Tech Scheller School of Business. I’m now looking to expand my portfolio of board roles. SELECTED CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Early pioneer of the subscription model in the car wash industry, disrupting the entrenched reliance on pay-as-you-go offering. Attributed to understanding the subscription model better than anyone. Innovated a unique operator-focused platform, with owners rolling equity & maintaining a stake post-acquisition, to essentially incentivize the ongoing success of their business. Provided unmatched industry insights to support the International Car Wash Association in championing growth & innovation in the sector while President/Board Member. Entrepreneurship is my passion and the golden thread that runs through my career story. In 2024, I proudly founded the J. Gary Dennis Fund for Entrepreneurship as part of Vanderbilt University Venture Fund and initiated seed funding for the Minor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Georgia Tech Create-X. As a board director, I am thoughtful & analytical with exceptional financial acumen & standout people skills. I strive to be a servant-leader and excel at explaining complex topics in ways that are easy for anyone to understand and implement. My greatest strength is my dedication to improvement – I enjoy inspiring people, solving difficult problems, and guiding businesses toward long-term and sustainable growth.
