About Gary Deyter

A total of 21 years experience performing research and technical writing on diverse fields of biomedical research including gene expression, epigenetics, ubiquitin-mediated protein degradation, kinase activation and regulation, chromosome segregation, neuronal signaling, and cancer prevention. I am especially interested in epigenomics, drug discovery, Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), assay development, and improving clinical outcomes in cancer patients. My skill set includes a range of techniques in molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, and genetics. I have used bacteria, yeast, nematodes, mammalian cell culture systems, and rodents for my studies that have contributed significant advancements in understanding the aforementioned biological processes. I have nearly 7 years of technical/scientific writing experience; a keen eye for grammatical errors; the ability to comprehensively understand and ascertain data analysis/research issues and inaccurate reporting of results in manuscripts and grants. My publishing record attests to my strong work ethic. I am first-author on six and co-author on five publications that are printed in well respected journals.
