About Gary Doctorman

For more than 35 years, Gary has successfully represented financial institutions large and small. Decade after decade, financial institutions have returned for representation. Gary trains and mentors lawyers to work for financial institutions at Parsons Behle & Latimer so that the firm has the breadth and depth of legal experience to meet the needs of our financial institution clients. As Gary concentrates his practice in the financial institutions industry, his experience ranges from compliance to transactions to litigation and bankruptcy. He is able to advise, using a multi-disciplinary approach to problem-solving. He is well-versed to pursue both complex and common transactions, litigation and regulatory issues. Gary is committed to a result-oriented and cost-effective practice aimed at solving his client’s legal issues and achieving their business goals. Gary represents national banks, community banks, bankers’ banks, credit unions and other financial institutions in large and small transactions, negotiations, workouts, mediations, litigation, appeals and bankruptcy. With the depth of his experience and with the support of an excellent team of lawyers, Gary leads multi-disciplinary teams specializing in banking, real estate, bankruptcy, mortgage, environmental, intellectual property, water, land use, mining, oil and gas, government relations, and administrative attorneys to assist financial institutions on their complex and their day-to-day legal issues. Gary routinely gives back to his community. For more than 30 years he has been a pro bono lawyer to NeighborWorks Salt Lake and supporter of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Salt Lake. He has also been involved with other non-profit organizations. Gary served as chairman of the Banking and Finance Section of the Utah State Bar and served and chaired other Utah State Bar committees.
