Consultant: Developing clinical centers of excellence for Lesch Nyhan disease and related developmental disabilities. Recently: Medical Director at the Women and Children's Center at Ryan Health in Manhattan. Before that I was the Vice President for Medical Affairs; Trustee of the Matheny Medical and Educational Center where I managed a wide variety of functions in the inpatient and outpatient arenas, including five clinical departments. I was involved in medical education (Lesch-Nyhan Disease; ethics; developmental disabilities; chronic illness) at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School where I was an integral member of the pediatrics faculty. I have published with Dr. Robey a seminal paper on the culture of disabity; I am also one of the world's experts on Lesch-Nyhan disease. I write novels. My second novel, a sequel to The Weather House, is nearing completion. It is a story about two sisters, one with a disability, and their triumphs and failures, set on Block Island and Brooklyn in 1916. I am an expert on managing patients using the transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches to patient care.
