About Gary Gibson

Founding Director and Design Principal of GRG Consulting Engineers and commenced business in 1996; GRG has three core business units across the five offices, namely Project Engineering, Design and Drafting. Heavy involvement in all design tasks in the Mechanical and Structural areas of practice, and support other disciplines. Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia, Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland in the disciplines of both Mechanical and Structural and a Registered Building Practitioner in Victoria for Mechanical and Civil disciplines. Experienced Engineer and Leader with a demonstrated history of working; over 20 years experience in various manufacturing facilities (including Food Processing, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Defence and Heavy Industries) and over 20 years Consulting Engineering experience. Strengths include: • Safety in Design (SiD) process • Mechanical & Structural Design and Installation • Cranes and Lifting Devices/Materials Handling/Manufacturing Equipment/Process Plant • Plant Concept and Facility Design, up-front design and project co-ordination • Technical knowledge of compliance • Building, Plant and Equipment Certification and peer design review • Reports and Auditing – HAZOP certified, FEA, Cranes, Machine Guarding and Safety • Expert Witness Recent project included a major feasibility study for a new $52M brewing facility. Previous projects are being GRG Lead Engineer in design and project management of a $29M major pharmaceutical plant upgrade and a $38M world class biscuit line. Maintain strong ethics and a high level of professionalism whilst remaining client focused.
