Dr Gary Grant is a Mountain resort consultant in the areas of management, marketing, guest services, product development, revenue management, guest experience and safety audits, and new resort feasibility and planning, now sharing these skills and experiences lecturing to university students and small businesses. With more than 40 years of international experience in Australia, Canada, Europe, South Korea, China, India, Mongolia, Vietnam and Japan. including product, resort and tourism industry experience, in addition to a distinguished career in Education and Training, Gary has held executive positions such as COO, Senior Vice President for Genting Secret Garden, General Manager Marketing, Sales, Hospitality and Resort Services for Perisher Blue, Director of Organisational Development for David’s/Metcash Ltd, Director, General Manager D4U China, Director at SEER Resort Company, CEO at BRC Ltd, Senior Advisor for Tourism NSW, and Vice President Australian Ski Patrol Association, Gary now provides consulting services to resorts around the world. Gary served as Director, Chair and General Manager for Tourism Snowy Mountains, Coordinator for the Planet X Games and the Burton World Series (and more) and was a member of the initial Beijing Winter Olympic Feasibility Group, and the Destination NSW Regional Tourism Organizations Committee. He now serves as a Member of the Destination Jindabyne Board. Gary was awarded the Tourism Training Australia National Tourism Legend award in 2009. This award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated an ongoing passion and dedication in leadership to tourism and hospitality training. He continues to provide education to the next generation of resort managers and leaders as a lecturer at the Canberra Business School (University Canberra) in addition to his advisory and consultancy roles.
