Lead for the commercial and business development for geneType. geneType delivers healthcare providers and their patients precision medicine testing that integrates traditional clinical risk factors and family history with polygenic risk scores for the predisposition of cancer, CVD and metabolic conditions. From a population health perspective, geneType advances the ability to risk stratify patients to enable identification of patients predisposed for "sporadic cancer" for entry into established preventive guideline interventions. For example,~85% of all breast cancer is sporadic with no hereditary cause or familial history. geneType provides a better calibrated and more effective determination of breast cancer risk than traditional predictive models ideally leading to earlier preventive interventions and earlier identification of cancer often referred to as "stage shift." The commercialization of geneType across healthcare stakeholders, including providers, purchasers and payors, finally affords the realization of preventive precision medicine by moving polygenetic risk scores from research to reality.
