About Gary Hutchinson

I have spent the past several years working for Fiserv with a focus on online bill payment solutions. During my time with Fiserv I have honed my skills in Web Development particularly in Java, C#, Thymeleaf, HTML5, JavaScript, and jQuery. The applications that I have worked on have been both Windows and Linux ranging between UI, Services, and database development. In helping maintain several enterprise applications, I have learned multiple troubleshooting and debugging techniques to find bugs and resolve them quickly. I have worked under tight timelines to deliver efficient and quality solutions.I have also had the opportunity to be apart of a team creating and designing 2 seperate applications from ground up. One is a reporting application used by thousands of banks to retrieve usage and SLA reports. This stack has provided me with experience integrating with SAP Business Objects, Oracle SQL Queries, and WebSphere technology. The second is a windows service used to create and transfer a report based on usage activities within online banking. This has given me experience integrating multiple service APIs using SOAP calls.I look to continue my professional development as a software engineer by branching out and continue learning new techniques and technologies. I enjoy coming up with solutions to fulfill functionality gaps in an elegant and efficient manner. I would like to focus my attention towards middleware development as I enjoy working in the business logic layer.
