About Gary Jorgensen

I started my career in an outbound call center sales environment. I targeted residential customers and sold one of the first truly unlimited long distance phone service packages ever offered. It was here that I learned to be a grinder in sales. I progressed to several sales / customer service / collections / B2B sales / and business developement roles, before taking on a new challenge of moving into the Ethanol industry as a utility operator at ADM. It was then that I learned the basic process and flow of Ethanol production. I ran basic field duties such as samples of product, LOTO, and troubleshooting issues as they arrived. I helped my Grandfather on our family farm before his retirement. I had the privilege of joining a newly built 150 million gallon a year plant in Western Iowa in 2018, where I was hired as a utility, and almost immediately promoted to shift lead prior to us starting up the plant for production. In the summer of 2018 we started production. I spent the last 3 1/2 years as a shift lead, managing a team of operators to meet production goals. I ran the plant from a Delta V DCS, made adjustments as needed to the plant, wrote and followed SOPs that all shifts would use, brought the plant up and down as needed, and was a part of a brand new plant start up, as well as 3 annual shutdowns. I was on the safety committe as chairman. I am seeking employment currently within the ethanol industry, and am open to discussion on other positions as well.
