Dr. Gary M. Kirsh, president of The Urology Group in Cincinnati, Ohio, and market president of Solaris Health, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is an accomplished physician who plays an active role in health policy and advocacy for the specialty of urology at the national level. Dr. Kirsh’s expertise extends across all facets of urology, with a particular focus on prostate cancer. As president of The Urology Group he oversees all operations, with an intense focus on implementing the latest technology to treat urologic conditions. Under his leadership, Dr. Kirsh has created a center of excellence in the Midwest for treating prostate cancer. Dr. Kirsh is active in health policy and advocacy for the specialty of urology at the national level. For over two decades, he has frequently spoken to urologists and politicians across the country on the socioeconomic and political issues facing urology and organized medicine. He has maintained longstanding relationships with various legislators and their staffs, and has provided legislative testimony in support of physicians’ issues at both the state and congressional levels. He is a founder and past president of the Large Urology Group Practice Association (LUGPA) and is a past chairman of UROPAC, the national political action committee of organized urology. He is also a past president of the North Central Section of the American Urological Association and the American Association of Clinical Urologists.
