CEO of the VII Foundation, a US, French and Bosnian registered non-profit which enterprises extensive multi platform narrative projects seeking solutions to seemingly intractable problems such as food insecurity and post-conflict peace and stability. Through our education wing - the VII Academy - we amplify underrepresented perspectives by providing tuition free education in media practice to in under-represented communities. Early career spent working as a photojournalist, mostly in areas of conflict with severe human rights issues including the wars in Cambodia, Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan and Congo. I was a contract photographer for Newsweek Magazine and created the VII Photo Agency with six colleagues in 2001. Twice Chairman of the World Press Photo Award, and President of Prix Bayeux Correspondents de Guerre. Nieman Fellow at Harvard University and Logan Non-Fiction Fellow at the Carey Institute. Founder and Director of the Program for Narrative and Documentary Practice at Tufts University 2011-2018.
