I am a researcher, writer, educator, and social advocate who is focused on promoting individual and public health/wellness through the most effective, strategic, and culturally sensitive use of human communication, media, and information technologies. I am particularly interested in the strategic and engaging use of communication to promote the highest quality and sensitivity of health care, increase the effectiveness of health promotion efforts, reduce disparities in health outcomes, and empower individuals to access and provide relevant health information and social support to promote quality of life. I am also focused on developing communication strategies to promote the health of the planet by encouraging cooperation between individuals, groups, and communities within modern society.
