About Gary Larose

I started in the Air Conditioning business in 1978 as an apprentice at Maine Air Conditioning Company. I worked my way to Orlando Florida in 1982 and worked for Ferran Engineering Group during the heat pump boom. I knew gas and oil systems and learned heat pumps were the new wave of the future. In 1985 I entered the transport refrigeration business with Carrier Transicold in Orlando. In 1987 I joined Carter Thermo King in Orlando and in 1992 I took a job with Thermo King Corporation as National Account Manager in the Northeast. I moved back to Florida as Region Director Southeast managing 46 dealers in 14 states down to Trinidad. I have seen Yanmar engines in Thermo King units successfully change the world with food & sensitive product distribution. Yanmar engines were/are a key element to Thermo King as the World Leader in Transport Refrigeration. I joined Yanmar in 2016 when the first Natural Gas Air Conditioning VRF units were being installed in Florida. We currently have 38 units running successfully and now have a platform to take this product to become the World Leader in Natural Gas Air Conditioning.
