I am a highly experienced and adaptable quantitiative financial markets specialist, having worked in high profile Treasury, Trading and Risk roles in both large and small banks in the UK and Ireland. As Head if Recovery Planning, I am deeply committed to improving AIBs recovery and resolution planning ensuring the bank can respond effectively to any systemic or idiosyncratic shocks to retain its position as Ireland’s largest domestic bank. The most challenging and rewarding aspect of my current role is its multi disciplinary aspect which requires liaising with all areas of the bank and presenting to a variety of governance fora, up to and including the Board • I am an independent self-starter who thrives in start-up situations and was proud to have established the new role of Head of Balance Sheet Risk in AIB at a time of intense tumult for the bank Prior to that, I led the successful establishment and management of a Treasury function for a Dublin subsidiary of German bank, developing funding avenues, managing an rated cover pool and enhancing trading revenue. • I enjoy synthesising complex issues into straightforward concepts and presenting to all audiences including senior management and am experienced in managing small high performance teams. • I am a firm believer in work-life balance and outside of work enjoy coaching youth soccer, playing competitive tennis and, when time allows, long-distance cycling.
