About Gary Mathews

With more than 15 years experience, I’m a skilled IT practitioner who is passionate about delivering quality systems and services that contribute to business success. While I have a strong focus on software and applications, recent opportunities have given me the chance to expand my skillset into the infrastructure area. This includes networks [LAN and WAN], Citrix desktops and virtual hosted environments.Having managed support teams for a range of organisations, I understand the importance of stable, secure and available business systems. I have considerable experience with managing technical support teams [second level application and software support teams, to development and testing teams]. With 10 years of experience with managing vendors, I’m able to build strong partnerships with third party suppliers and work alongside with them to provide value, quality and service to the business.As business and IT landscapes are under continual change, I can assist with developing and implementing a technology road map that is aligned with the short and long term objectives of the business. Distilling often complex IT concepts into everyday language is second nature to me. However I understand the need for detail when required.I recognise that business is not just about processes and systems, but is about the people in them. I can relate with all levels of business – from CEO/GM level through to front line operational staff. Along with my excellent communication skills, I am an effective IT leader and an asset to any organisation where I am employed.
