About Gary Mayer

I have acquired in excess of 30 years of experience in different areas of the transportation industry. First in towing and recovery and emergency road service. Then onto construction and road building equipment operating. The last decade has seen me in Operations, safety, training dispatch, sales and of course many, many miles of driving in all 48 continental states as well as 9 of our own territories and provinces. My work experience coupled with my ability to speak to anyone with patience and confidence makes driver training and overall compliance training my favourite aspect of being a commercial driver. Being comfortable working with computers and almost any tech used including satellite systems, Android systems and office machines makes office work easier to complete. Anything that is driven by Windows can be easily learned and utilized. I thrive on challenges, deadlines and the regular stress levels experienced on a daily basis in the transportation industry. The industry is in a constant state of flux. Federal and regional (state, provincial) regulations are always changing and being revised and these changes require someone that is dynamic and persistent in their willingness to learn. Sharing my experiences and knowledge are a great pleasure to me. Safety, Compliance and Recruiting are very important to me. I utilize safe practices at all times and I attempt to help guide others around me whenever practical. My goal is to harness all of my experience and training and to move myself from the road to the classroom. To move myself from behind the wheel to the passenger seat to help guide the next generation of commercial drivers. I am aiming to find myself a position in the Safety, Compliance and recruiting Department of a company involved in transportation or construction.
