I have spent my entire career working with at-risk youth on both dependency and delinquent cases in the Philadelphia Family Court system. I have extensive background in social services as well as career development. During my first full year (2011) in my current position, I increased the program’s work site partnerships from 1, to 9 as well as increased my program’s community partnerships from 1-18. I have implemented peer mentoring, pilot programs with other non-profit and educational organizations, negotiate contracts, write and design all the work site and community partnership literature, present at conferences throughout the state of PA, as well as write, produce, and direct a documentary about my program. All of this was done out of the necessity of identifying the needs of the future of our society, creating resources for them to utilize while they work to build a positive future for independent lives, and work to improve the community at large.
