About Gary Muir

After completing valuation training with the Housing Corporation of New Zealand and gaining a tertiary qualification in valuation from Auckland University, I worked for the Corporation in both Auckland and Palmerston North, then for the Auckland City Council Valuation Department in Auckland, the Rating and Valuation Department in Hong Kong, Mahoney Young and Gamby in Auckland, the Valuation Department in Auckland and ASB Bank Ltd in Auckland. I then moved into the construction profession as Cost Administration Manager then Senior Manager Projects and Maintenance and finally Head of Project Delivery for ASB Bank Ltd in Auckland. From 4 September 2017 to 3 July 2020 I was employed by Arena Living Ltd, first as Property Manager, then General Manager Property Services, with responsibility for the development, refurbishment and maintenance (including long-term maintenance plans) of Arena's property portfolio of 6 villages (approximately units). From 6 July 2020 I have reduced my involvement with Arena to a property advisory role assisting with various projects and the general maintenance of the villages.
