About Gary Pendlebury

Gary Pendlebury has over 40 years experience in property development, property consulting, project management, feasibility appraisals and urban and regional planning. Gary graduated from Melbourne University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Town and Regional Planning and in 1986 completed a Graduate Diploma in Property Development at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology while employed as a Development Manager with Hooker-Rex Estates Pty. Ltd.(now trading as Australand Ltd.) In 1991 Gary established Foresite Pty. Ltd.(initially trading as Pendlebury and Associates),with core services focused around property development appraisals, development management, strategic and statutory planning, and tailored comprehensive feasibility analysis. In 2007, Foresite was acquired by BurnsBridge Australia and the Foresite team became the Property and Development Services unit of BurnsBridge (now part of Sweett Group Australia). Since 2001, Gary has provided extensive property advisory services to the Department of Defence, and continues to provide strategic advisory and management services associated with the transformation of urban infill, brown fields and catalyst projects to drive change that is underpinned by innovative and risk adjusted business case analysis. Project drivers include strategic procurement options, targeted infrastructure investment, equity release within a framework of project imperatives including viable commercial returns, environmental enhancement and community engagement. In the last several years, Gary has been an occasional lecturer at the Melbourne University, teaching as part of the Masters of Property and Bachelor of Environments courses.
