About Gary Roberts

Owner and founder of worldwidefeatures.com Gary Roberts, a member of the NUJ and Chair of the Manchester NUJ Branch, is a photojournalist and writer based in the UK covering assignments country wide and overseas. Gary trained at Speos ( Paris Photographic Institute ) after reading Zoology at Leeds University. Recently completed MSc International Development ( Merit) at University of Manchester. Gary is a Fellow of the Zoological Society of London. Gary is on the board of SANA an NGO which aids biodiversity and conservation in Tanzania. Gary lectured at Speos London ( Photographic institute) for 5 years and is a member of the BPPA. Owner and founder of worldwidefeatures.com. Worldwidefeatures.com has been offering photography features to the world's media since 2004. We are a collaboration of photographers, photojournalists and journalists who care about what we cover and how we cover it. Positive, progressive, social and environmental photography features are what we are about. Gary as a photojournalist also writes articles to accompany his reportage and other photographers work. Photojournalist assignments have been undertaken in Bosnia, Ghana, Kenya, Korea, Macedonia, Romania, South Africa, Tanzania and USA. Projects are now undertaken on the grounds of merit as well as financial considerations. Gary has published and distributed "Voices from the Savannah" highlighting plight of East African wildlife with contributions from the some of the worlds leading conservationists. The book has been reviewed on BBC world service and numerous national (UK) and international press.
