Gary Sheppard, GrantWorks’ Director of Communications and Employee Engagement, is a seasoned communications professional with more than ten years of experience in various areas of corporate communications such as developmental editing, writing governmental reports, strategic storytelling, creating nationally distributed print publications, and managing web-based communication platforms. He is also well-versed in program implementation for large, statewide programs. He possesses advanced knowledge in professional writing, executive communications, editing, grammar, and publication design elements. In addition to his communication skills, Gary has significant experience in change management and organizational planning. As a published author, he has a proven ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts. GrantWorks has successfully assisted over 600 commercial and state and local government entities in the design and delivery of a wide range of successful federal and state funded disaster recovery, mitigation, resilience, and community development programs. With a national workforce of over 400 professionals, GrantWorks has secured and administered over $8 billion in assistance while helping hundreds of our nation’s affected communities become stronger, smarter, and more resilient.
