About Gary Sidhu

I have over 10 years of professional experience in the natural resources sector with many transferable skills along with further knowledge from MBA studies in the areas of accounting, strategy, finance, marketing, negotiation, and consulting. I have managed exploration projects all over Western Canada which involved planning projects from the initial concept stage, implementation through to conclusion. I have worked for various companies where I gained experience in business development and valuation of new opportunities through extensive research and collaboration with multiple disciplines within organizations and outside. I have worked closely with executives generating new proposals for corporate development initiatives which provided exposure to technical writing and analysis methods, evaluating financial disclosure documents, and relationship management. Over $1.2 million in grants to our company from the government were the result of these proposals. I have conducted project valuation reports to assist management on the viability of current and future properties, reviewing and negotiating legal contracts and agreements, and preparing business presentations for potential investors by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. I led projects up to $2.1M by managing up to 13 employees, and effectively utilizing my financial planning, budgeting, accounting, and problem-solving skills. I am a strong believer in continually learning and sharing that knowledge. Throughout my professional career and volunteering efforts, I have done my best to mentor or share my knowledge with co-workers and students to spread knowledge to create an enriched working environment.
