About Gary Silverman

My career has been a mix of hands-on Technical experience, Project and Department Management. I have worked in Enterprise, Plant and Field Environments. My experience spans SCADA System Implementation/Management, Wellpad/Facility Automation, Plant Floor Automation, MES/ERP Data Integration and IT Systems Management. My focus has always been on building systems that can be easily deployed to multiple locations, are scalable, reliable and maintainable. I have worked in Oil and Gas, Process Manufacturing, Automotive and Shipbuilding Industries. In Oil and Gas, I have deployed and managed Enterprise SCADA Systems. I have implemented Automation and Control for Plunger Lift, Gas Lift, ESPs, Rod Pumps and other recovery methods. I have also automated and integrated facilities, including Electrical Distribution, Substations, CDPs, SWDs and Water Pipeline Management Systems. I have managed the SCADA/Automation aspects of acquisitions and divestitures of production assets. In Process Industries, I have been involved in Batch and Continuous Control, MES, Recipe Management, Plant Scheduling, Ingredient Receiving and Finished Goods/Warehouse Management Systems. I have configured, implemented and maintained the following platforms: CygNet SCADA, Ignition, Autosol eACM, Autosol ACM, XSPOC, Emerson/Fisher RTUs (FloBoss 107/503/407/103, ROC800) ABB RTUs (XRC/XFC G4, RMC-100), SEL, PQube, OleumTech Wireless I/O, Moxa I/O, FreeWave and XetaWave Radio Communications, various OPC Servers, DNP3, OSISoft PI Historian, IOT/MQTT, various PLCs, DeltaV DCS, various Manufacturing Execution Systems (including ERP integration).
