About Gary Spetseris

IT professional in the Audio Visual field. I started my IT journey young, but realized I was never meant to hide behind a computer. My father was in IT his whole life, and I still remember entering DOS commands as a child to launch computer games. Sometime in my college years, I realized that I wanted to focus on human connections, more than virtual ones. I became a marketing major, and really learned how to communicate while studying how to conduct surveys. I have worked my way through various support roles inside and outside of the tech world, and eventually landed in the IT department at Brownstein. In 5+ years in other support positions within the firm, I realized that I could be much more of an asset on the technological side. After a few years in the IT department, I can say that it was one of the best, most satisfying moves of my life. I’m really settling into my strengths of listening, understanding situational urgency, and being a technical liaison to help non-technically-oriented individuals understand complicated technical concepts. My daily role involves managing and overseeing videoconference systems, room schedulers, and room booking software. I also oversee conference room systems for the firm, and act as the administrator on our Zoom account. I look forward to advancing my career within the IT world, and can’t wait for the opportunities that lie ahead.
