Background

About Gary Strachan

I’ve worked across safety, logistics, and operations—on the tools, managing teams, and consulting at a strategic level. My background includes time as a personal trainer, WHS manager, and Logistics/Operations Manager at Electrolux, where I led the COVID response and completed multiple six-sigma continuous improvement projects. I now work as a HSW consultant helping businesses lift system performance—not just for compliance, but for real-world improvement.I’m drawn to work where I can break down messy problems, understand the root cause, and rebuild systems that are practical, scalable, and actually make a difference. I’ve delivered national projects, built risk systems from scratch, and presented to executive teams and boards. Whether it’s reducing risk, improving flow, or building something from the ground up, I bring a mix of operational insight, continuous improvement, and safety leadership that works in the real world.
