I am a left-brain tech guy with enough right-brain to collaborate across all areas, strategically, creatively, and operationally. I take great pride and satisfaction in roles where I can help founders do what they do best – create, innovate and sell – while I prepare them to scale the business with an operational & financial strategy. My background is a unique combination of investment banking and startup operating experiences. In banking, I specialized in IPOs, capital-raising, and M&A for technology companies. I have raised over $150 million in venture capital across seven different tech companies while building scalable operating platforms at each. One of my specialties is in guiding early-stage, venture-backed companies through the first and second rounds of capital raising (A&B rounds) while strategically balancing the precarious tension between adding scale and preserving capital. My greatest skill is in managing highly complex projects and organizations, and my methods start with the psychology of everyone involved. Software companies are uniquely dependent on the brains of their people and need to build everything from this foundation.
