Worker Representative (WHSCC) I have previous experience working for Transport Canada, Gander International Airport and St. John's Airport with Emergency Response Services.I started my career as a firefighter with Gander Airport in 1981, worked as a firefighter at St. John's Airport 1987-1988 and then as a Shift Officer (Captain) with Gander Airport from 1988 to 2013. In my role as a Captain with ERS I was responsible for ensuring current training for and directing firefighters in structural and crash firefighting. I also had the position of Co-Chair of the Gander International Airport OH & S Committee. As part of the OH & S Committee I was responsible for OH & S issues at the airport and helped implement the Transport Canada Safety Management System (SMS). I hold a Secret Security Clearance and worked in the position of Manager of Safety Services (MSS). I was acting in the role of MSS on September 11, 2011. I have experience in Emergency Response preparation; organizing Mock Aircraft Disasters involving mutual fire departments, Department of National Defence, RCMP, RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT), local hospitals, airlines, etc.
