About Gary W. Paukert

I find oil and gas. Lots of it. And I've been finding oil and gas for my employers and clients for over 35 years, all over the world. On 4 continents, in 27 countries and in 46 basins. What thrills me is to generate quality prospects; prospects that turn into discoveries when drilled and which make then make people money. I'm a broad-based, generalist explorer who has worked for and with a wide range of companies, domestic and foreign, and from junior to super-major. I have balanced experience in extensional, compressional and salt tectonic terranes, and with clastic, carbonate and exotic reservoirs. The value I offer is my ability to creatively extract the maximum number of economic leads and prospects from seismic and other geophysical data. I am detail-oriented and meticulous, and passionate about progress, deliverables and the economic bottom-line. I have a unique, dual geological/geophysical background. My career has been one of consistent contributions to successful high-profile projects and multi-disciplinary teams. My specialties: Prospect generation, prospect generation and MORE prospect generation. Exploration and development in Latin America, the North Sea and Indonesia; basement tectonics and their effect on subsequent sedimentation; integrated gravity and seismic interpretation; integrating seismic interpretation with sequence stratigraphic analysis; seismic trace inversion and AVO analysis. I am well versed in all the seismic interpretation software systems; an expert user in IHS Kingdom Suite and Schlumberger Petrel.
