I am Head of Legal at CLS Holdings plc, with over 25 years of experience in the real estate sector. CLS is listed on the London Stock Exchange as an office specialist with a portfolio worth £2.1bn across the UK, France and Germany. I provide strategic legal advice and support, guiding the business towards successful outcomes. I procure cost effective legal advice from external lawyers and act as an interface between external advisers and colleagues. I also scan the horizon for relevant legal and statutory developments. My core strengths include collaboration and communication at all levels, negotiating LMA REF documents, facilitating purchases and sales of buildings via both asset and corporate transactions and evidencing sanctions compliance. I have a broad range of experience including the joint venture, potential development financing and subsequent sale of CLS’ interest in the Shard development site to a consortium of Qatari investors; the sale of the Vauxhall Square development site to a Chinese developer; the purchase of a portfolio of 34 UK Government occupied properties from fixed charge receivers; the listing of a retail bond on the LSE; and numerous LMA financings (including two green loans - a £154m loan from Aviva Investors secured on 12 properties and a £62m loan from Scottish Widows secured on 5 properties).
