About Gatera Alphonse

I have Bachelor's degree (Hons) in Public health/Human nutrition and dietetics/ Second Class Upper Division (72%) from University of Rwanda, School of Public health, College of medicine and health sciences former Kigali health institute(KHI). I have got required skills and experience to work in nutrition related projects especially working with NGO's that are based community/rural areas of Rwanda. I had internship with Caritas Rwanda/Gikuriro program where I worked as nutritionist intern for 2 months. and I also had temporal job for Catholic Relief Service (CRS where I played a big role as enumerator/ field data collector in research entitled” Baseline evaluation for integrated nutrition and wash activity for Gikuriro program” that was conducted in 6 districts of Rwanda namely Nyabihu, Ngoma, Rwamagana, Kayonza, Kicukiro and Nyarugenge in October 2016. The objective of the survey was to detect strengths and gaps in a dressing childhood stunting in Rwanda and to determine the status of Nutrition and WASH indicators before the Gikuriro program rolled out. I also had a chance attend different research trainings & other E-learning courses like Demographic health survey and data use, Integrated early childhood development programming for young vulnerable Children, Effective behavior change communication, Economic evaluation basics and poverty eradication strategies. Ability, commitment, reliability, keen to detail, quick to learn, straight forwardness and anticipation are my potentials.
