About Gaurav Narang

I've always been driven by a passion to be good, to do good, to create a positive impact, and to leave this world a better place, in whatever way I can.Post completing MBA from IIM Calcutta, I embarked on an entrepreneurial journey in the healthcare sector. Over 9 years, we revolutionized access to specialty medicines, making them affordable and accessible to over 5 million patients facing chronic and life-threatening diseases. We expanded the venture to 24 cities across 18 states, making it India's largest organized, direct-to-patient, specialty pharmacy. The startup got acquired by Portea Medical, India's largest home healthcare company. After healthcare, my focus shifted towards environmental sustainability, leading me to establish CityGreens. At CityGreens, we're at the forefront of Agri-Tech innovation, empowering growers to cultivate high-quality crops in climate-resilient environments, with a strong committment towards the long-term wellbeing of plants, people and the planet.Besides CityGreens, I’m also an angel investor in a handful of early stage startups. I'm on the board at Sonepat and a member of investment committee at a-Idea, Naarm. When schedule permits, I also speak at various forums, conferences, panel discussions and conduct guest lectures at IIMs and other B-schools.A personal highlight for me is being a bestselling author. My books are my way of reaching out to budding entrepreneurs, offering them the kind of practical advice I wish I had when starting out.One of the most rewarding part of my journey so far, my contributions at CityGreens have led to multiple patents and significant grant awards from the Govt. of India, USA, and UAE. Additionally, I’ve earned several accolades, such as Aspiring Leader at St. Gallens Symposium Switzerland, finalist in India’s National Startup Awards, runner-up in FICCI’s Agri Startup Awards, and finalist in Sankalp Forum’s Global Impact & Sustainability Awards.
