About Gauri Sonar

I believe that experimentation is key to discovering what you truly enjoy doing, so I ended up trying out a lot of different things. Things I have done to find my ‘calling’ - I spent 13 months living and working with artisans in rural parts of Tamil Nadu- I launched a paper goods brand. I wanted to create something that was both beautiful and practical, items that people could use and enjoy every day- As a social media manager, I often found myself replying to people with "check your DM" up to 100 times a day. It was exhausting- I studied User Experience (UX) and had a great time, but unfortunately, no company is willing to hire a new graduate- I studied graphic design and realized how much I appreciate imperfections. About me - I love creating, but selling myself and my work is difficult for me. I struggle to showcase the value of my creations- Growing up, I have always had difficulty expressing myself verbally.
