About Gavin Cox

As a Security Analyst at Security National Financial Corporation, I help protect the company's data and network from cyber threats and incidents. I use my skills in TCP/IP, IT service management, and event management to monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts, reports, and logs. I also support the IT help desk team by providing technical assistance and troubleshooting to the users and clients. I am passionate about personal growth and developing the skills necessary to succeed in my career. That is why I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in Cyber Security and Information Assurance at Western Governors University, where I am learning the fundamentals and best practices of cybersecurity, such as cryptography, network security, risk management, and ethical hacking. I have also obtained two industry-recognized certifications: CompTIA A+ and ITIL Foundation, which demonstrate my knowledge and proficiency in IT support and service management. My goal is to become a cybersecurity professional who can offer safety and security to the data and information being shared in any business.
