About Gavin Dunne

With a degree in Building Services Engineering and a Master’s in Energy Management, I’ve always been passionate about sustainable solutions and efficient system design. Shortly after graduating, I joined Turmec in 2012, stepping into the world of waste recycling systems and turnkey recycling plants and solutions. My early focus was on 2D plant layouts, tenders, and client proposals, but I quickly moved into project management, overseeing the full lifecycle of recycling systems—from design to installation and commissioning. Over the next few years, I worked extensively on the development and implementation of recycling equipment for various waste streams, including C&D, C&I, DMR, glass, IBA, and rubber. This hands-on experience allowed me to optimize material flow, improve plant efficiency, and enhance recovery rates across different waste processing facilities. As my career evolved, I transitioned into technical sales management, blending my engineering expertise with a commercial focus. Today, as Associate Director of Recycling Sales, I lead Turmec’s sales department, ensuring our clients get high-performance waste recycling systems that align with industry demands for efficiency, sustainability, and profitability. One of my most rewarding projects was the Rino Recycling plant in Brisbane, Australia—a state-of-the-art C&D and C&I waste processing facility that showcases the power of advanced recycling systems. Being involved from design to installation reinforced my passion for delivering cutting-edge, high-efficiency recycling equipment that drives both innovation and sustainability. The recycling industry is rapidly evolving, with AI-driven sorting, automation, and tightening regulations shaping the future. I stay ahead by collaborating with clients, engineers, and industry leaders, while also attending major trade shows like RWM & IFAT. I take a practical, results-driven approach to leadership, ensuring our team delivers turnkey recycling plants and high-performance waste recycling solutions that help clients achieve maximum recovery, operational efficiency, and long-term profitability.
