Gavin is a highly skilled aviation planner with 24 years of consultancy experience. His expertise is leading the development of operationally efficient, cost-effective and sustainable airport planning solutions. Gavin is passionate about Aviation and provides valuable strategic advice based on his extensive knowledge and global experience of airport projects and the aviation industry. He has worked on projects in Europe, ME, Africa, Asia, Australasia, North & South America. Gavin is currently a Technical Director leading WSP's Airport Planning & Advisory Team in London. He was previously an Associate Director in Arup's Aviation Advisory team, London, where he led the Airport Planning team. He also worked for 3 years in Arup's Toronto office. Gavin trained as an urban/transport planner and started his career developing urban master plans, transport assessments and sustainable transport solutions. He has excellent project, people and financial management skills, and his creative and functional spatial planning skills are highly sought after by clients. Highly effective at leading teams and managing people, an excellent communicator with effective interpersonal skills, who leads by example and is hard-working, diligent, and organised. He has built up an extensive knowledge of airfield and terminal planning/operations from working on over 100 airport projects worldwide. He is particularly experienced in providing strategic airport planning advice to airports, airlines and investors/operators; developing airport master plans and terminal plans, airfield & apron layouts, feasibility studies and establishing facility requirements.
