About Gavin Morley

I am a highly motivated, very flexible hard-working individual, possessing a wide range of skills. I work efficiently and effectively as part of a team as well as being able to work on an individual basis. Having completed an advanced apprenticeship within the electrical industry, 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations, which has resulted in gained knowledge, competency and experience in Site Health and Safety Management. Currently working at Outwood Grange Academy Trust Redcar as a Site manager. Within this appointment I manage multiple site supervisors and a cleaning team as well as 5 buildings spread over 15 acres of land ensuring the site is maintenance accordingly to provide our students with an great educational environment backup by our latest Ofsted rating of “Good” evidencing we really do put Students First by Raising Standards and Transforming Lives. I also oversee Capex projects along side statutory and non-statutory compliance using a Building Management System and a comprehensive self built compliance tracker using a excel spreadsheet to managing control of contractors of contractors ensuring a Purchase Orders are raised to authorise works checking we have received Insurance and RAMs documents from companies who will be working on site. Within this role I was elected and remain Chairman of the Academies Health and Safety Committee meeting frequently discussing all matters Health and Safety and ensure the site team interact with our students by getting involved with our students enrichment program while taking a Deeps role as Events coordinator arranging events such as Y11 leavers Prom. Previous, I was Director at G Morley Electrical Service (GMES) managing the day to day running of the business. Ensuring site Health and Safety regulatory requirements are met with accreditation from ELECSA/NICEIC as well as risk assessments for each work site to ensure the safety of contractors, in house staff, clients and their properties. Over the years, I have managed multiple members of staff and trained apprentices to achieve construction qualifications; this was achieved by managing small to very large construction building project with budgets from £500 up to £120k. Each project was unique and individual with time and budget restraints. In my spare time enjoy a numerous sports. I am a leader in running fitness and volunteering weekly to helping others to achieve their fitness goals.
