About Gavin Oflaherty

Gavin is a partner in the Corporate Department in William Fry LLP and has an extensive practice area in advising on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholders agreements, corporate establishments, equity investments and general corporate law. As part of his general corporate and m&a practice, he also has an established sectoral expertise of working with emerging growth companies on all aspects of their growth and also has an m&a specialism in relation to the regulated sectors (particularly insurance), technology, healthcare and agri-food sectors. He also works extensively in the area of foreign direct investment acting for foreign corporates investing in and through Ireland. He has obtained the Associate of the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification. Gavin sits on the Busines Law Committee of the Law Society of Ireland, lectures in the Law School of the Law Society of Ireland in relation to aspects of corporate law and speaks to other professional bodies in respect of corporate and partnership law. He also speaks regularly to the members of the Irish Taxation Institute and writes regularly in the Irish Tax Review, the bi-monthly publication of the Irish Taxation Institute. Gavin is also a board member of the Marie Keating Foundation
