About Gavin Roberts

My name is Gavin Roberts, and I’m an avid outdoor enthusiast in all aspects. We live in such an age where technology and industrialization are so common in daily life that many people forget or are apathetic to all the great things that the natural world can share with us. By aiming to be an outdoor educator and one that can teach other people about nature, recreation, and all other things ecology related, I hope to get hundreds of fresh faces interested in seeing what more they can do to get outside and learn.I have extensive background in the outdoor world, as I’ve been an active member of the Boy Scouts of America since the earliest possible age, that being 5 years old. Ever since then, my passion for camping, hiking, wildlife, and everything nature has sparked and exponentially grown into what it is today. I’ve been able to spend months of my life living, learning, teaching, and changing in nature. As I went into my college years, I joined up with the Outdoor Pursuits Center and the Climbing Club and was able to meet with others that share my loves and experience great things with them.I’m currently a Senior student at the University of North Texas, going for my Bachelor of Science in Ecology for Environmental Science, aiming to eventually work for a Parks and Wildlife service in the United States, as well as continuing to serve a role in the Boy Scouts of America. I want to be able to work outdoors and do the things that I love for a career for as long as I can, hoping to inspire the same passion that I received when I was very young. If I can contribute this feeling to any person’s life, young or old, then I will have easily accomplished a large goal of mine.
