I have worked in the commercial property and construction industry since graduating in 2002, having gained invaluable commercial surveying experience at Lambert Smith Hampton moved on to work in smaller practices until settling at RLB in March 2008 where I stayed until May 2015, and expanded my knowledge and experience in Building Surveying and Project Management. This led to the opportunity to use my extensive commercial and residential experience to set up Inform Surveying Limited in April 2015, for which I am the Director/Owner. I specialise in commercial & residential Building Surveying & Project Management, covering projects nationally. My particular expertise is in defects diagnosis and strategic life cycle planning of property assets as part of an holistic approach to managing property such as improving repair standards and implementing energy efficiency improvements. I have gained invaluable experience over the last 5 years in expanding my role into providing expert reports for individual circumstances and for the courts. I have also gained experience in developments in survey data capture and reporting through IT. I count myself lucky to have gained a depth of knowledge to be able to apply rounded advice to private and public clients on such topics as Party Wall, dilapidation, planning and other legislative requirements. I believe strongly that I have a responsibility in using every opportunity to educate my clients, and assist fellow professionals in advancing the Chartered Surveying profession through being respectful, diligent and going beyond what the market has typical become accustomed to. I feel it is very important to take an active role in mentoring graduates (APC Supervisor) and recently Chartered Surveyors to ensure the standards of the RICS and my own personal beliefs in coaching the next generation of surveyors is applied in daily duties to ensure staff progress in the correct manner.
