As the Wagerup Refinery Production Manager at Alcoa, I lead the safe, clean, and efficient operation of one of the world's largest and most complex alumina refineries. With over 23 years of combined experience in minerals processing, refining, and marine engineering, I have the technical and commercial acumen to align multi-discipline departments and teams to maximise production, safety, reliability, and bottom line profit. My core competencies include senior-level operations management, maintenance management, project management, budget management, compliance management, contract management, and relationship management. I have successfully overseen the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of operations and maintenance systems and processes, the delivery of major overhauls, unplanned maintenance, and contracting requirements, and the management of an annual OPEX budget of over $150M. I build and embed safe and inclusive cultures based on shared values and behaviours, and empower my direct reports to make confident decisions that positively impact the business. I work collaboratively with people at all levels to identify and tackle key issues, and ensure safety first is the priority in everything we do.
