I am an experienced Psychologist and mindfulness facilitator with many years working in the NHS. My journey to combining mindfulness with sports began when my mind started putting up obstacles that made taking part in sports difficult. I became increasingly aware of the need to connect the mind and body for greater wellbeing. Within Active Mindfulness I provide group, team and individual sessions of mindfulness. I work with people who wish to improve either their enjoyment of an active life or athletes wishing to improve their performance. I provide them with a way of training their mind which helps them develop 'unfreakability.' The sense of being able to notice anxiety, frustrations, whatever comes up during sport and respond to it out of choice rather than emotion. At active mindfulness we believe mindfulness is something which can help many people to greater wellbeing. Alongside working with sports I also offer workshops for corporate clients and individual coaching sessions.
