About Gemma Avery

Having achieving a first class honours in Broadcasting from the Univeristy of Leeds, my career started in television production. Working on various contracts at ITV and the BBC, I worked up to to co-ordinator position within 3 years. I decided to use my experience and move into marketing following a period of working abroad. I have since worked with nationally and internationally recognised brands, with a focus on football and sport, also spending some time in an agency environment to learn about other areas of marketing. In 2021, I joined Active Lancashire to lead the marketing team and the marketing of an £8 million funded health project. In 2022 I was named as one of Lancashire’s Sub36 future leaders and feel passionate about the future success of the county. Most recently, alongside my full time role, I have supported a number of organisations within football with marketing, tan engagement and communications support.
