About Gemma Bickerdike

As a person, my natural skills and talents sway heavily towards organisation, processing, IT, document creation and maintenance and record keeping. I am highly detail oriented and can quickly pick up on inaccuracies. I have extensive experience in processing invoices which I have done on a daily basis while working in hospitality and also when I worked in at a busy produce wholesalers. This role involved communicating and building collaborative working relationships with other businesses to solve all their invoice requests and inquiries. I have strong interpersonal skills from my time studying Counselling at York St John University. Understanding the human brain and the emotional experiences of others has always interested me and I have continued to develop the skills learnt during this time throughout my life and career. I take pride in my active listening skills and am often a source for support for colleagues that are facing challenging times at work. There was a brief period of time around the pandemic where I spent time doing an online Business and Administration Level 2 course. My intention was to keep my brain active by learning useful information for potential future employment. I found this course gave me insight into areas of administration that I have no direct experience of, such as meeting preparation and travel bookings. This has given me good foundational knowledge to work on in my future career endevours.
