About Gemma Clancy

There are two key reasons I believe many early stage startups fail: 1. They don’t know how to tell & sell their story: it’s unclear why they exist and why anyone should care (let alone purchase from them) 2. They lack the *right* connections and support to unlock the expertise and funding they need to succeed. My work aims to address these two problems. I help startups make sense of their marketing strategies as the co-founder of Stella Startups - a marketing consultancy purpose-built for early stage startups. I've seen too many early-stage startups waste time and money focusing on the wrong strategies, and without the right foundations in place to ensure their success. At Stella Startups, we focus on reducing ‘marketing overwhelm’ by going back to basics and helping founders have the highest impact possible by carefully selecting tactics that actually have the potential to work with their limited resources. I’m also the co-founder and Head of Growth for Overnight Success (OS), Australia’s favourite grassroots media brand and community.
